Abstract
•Flexible TiO2/SiO2 ceramic nanofiber membranes with high reflectance were successfully prepared by silica doping combined with electrospinning technique.•The TiO2/SiO2 ceramic nanofibers were composed of amorphous SiO2 and fine-grained TiO2, which made the mechanical properties of the hybrid nanofiber membrane three times higher than that of TiO2 and reaching to 3.22 MPa.•The TiO2/SiO2 nanofiber membranes have excellent thermal insulation properties with the average reflectance of more than 89% and the room temperature thermal conductivity of less than 0.0310 W·m − 1K−1.
