•Obstructed hemivaginal ipsilateral renal agenesis is a rare urogenital malformation.•A delayed diagnosis may result in the development of endometriosis.•Laparoscopic examination can be of great help to confirm uterine morphology.•This examination is used for precise diagnosis and reducing risks of complications.
