Real-world evaluation of linezolid-associated serotonin toxicity with and without concurrent serotonergic agents

•The risk of linezolid-associated serotonin toxicity remains unclear.•Management of clinical scenarios with linezolid and serotonergic agents is challenging.•In total, 1743 patients received linezolid with or without concurrent serotonergic agents.•Several patients received multiple serotonergic agents, including moderate and/or high doses.•No cases of serotonin toxicity were identified based on the Hunter criteria.
