Cyclophilins modify their profile depending on the organ or tissue in a murine inflammatory model

•Cyclophilins A and C expression levels are increased in the aorta under inflammatory conditions.•Cyclophilin A and D levels were elevated in the liver meanwhile, cyclophilins B and C were decreased in inflammation.•Cyclophilin B and C levels are augmented in kidneys under inflammation conditions.•The CD147 receptor expression is increased in the aorta, liver, and kidney.•The modulation of cyclophilin A reduces the levels of inflammatory mediators as well as the levels of cyclophilin A and CD147 in the aorta and liver.
