Abstract
•Our study is the first to show that miR-195-5p expression is negatively correlated with that of PELP1 during IRI progression. miR-195-5p was lowly expressed and PELP1 was highly expressed in testicular IRI.•miR-195-5p attenuated cellular pyroptosis by directly targeting PELP1 both in vitro and in vivo.•miR-195-5p might be a potential therapeutic target for inhibition of germ cell pyroptosis in testicular IRI.
