ACute cholangitis mortality and survival analysis: A national database analysis

Background: Acute cholangitis is a life-threatening condition that results from a biliary tract infection and obstruction. The worldwide mortality rate has been reduced with early diagnosis and treatment through the years. Even though Mexican studies about the clinical course and prognostic factors have been carried out from single centers, a national panorama about the mortality rate and prognostic factors is limited. To analyze the clinic course and prognostic factors associated with mortality of patients diagnosed with acute cholangitis (ICD K803 and K830) between 2010 and 2019 in Mexico.
