摘要

•The Ag/Bi2WO6/BiOCl composite photocatalyst is synthesized via using hydrothermal and photo-reduction methods.•It exhibits the outstanding photocatalytic activity for degrading 2-Mercaptobenzothiazole under visible light.•The synergistic effect of Ag nanoparticles coupled with /Bi2WO6/BiOCl can improve the transport and separation efficiency of photogenerated charges.
