Time-space evolution of Iberian Pyrite Belt igneous activity: Volcanic and plutonic lineaments, geochronology, ore horizons and stratigraphic constraints

•A probable genetic link of volcanic and intrusive rocks in the IPB genesis in space and time.•Volcanism has migrated in time, from west to east at the province scale showing an inter-axis and intra-axis time–space dependency.•The one-direction volcanism (SW/W-NE/E) can be explained by a plate motion over a deep heat source. • The NW/W-SE/E volcanic activity along each axis seems to be tectonically controlled.
