Association between GLP-1R gene polymorphism and dyslipidemia in Chinese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A case-control study

•The frequency of GLP-1R rs3765467 G allele was higher in T2DM patients with dyslipidemia.•GLP-1R rs3765467 G allele may be a genetic risk factor for diabetes mellitus complicated with dyslipidemia.•GLP-1R rs3765467 A allele and rs10305420 T allele may be protective factors for HbA1c.•Under the dominant model, the effects of rs3765467 A allele and rs10305420 T allele on dyslipidemia had multiplicative interactions and additive interactions.
