摘要

•Aim: To explore the relationship between inflammatory markers and sarcopenia-related traits in sarcopenic older adults.•Findings: In sarcopenic older adults, higher IL-1β levels were associated with better handgrip strength and higher IL-6 with more appendicular lean mass.•Message: Inflammageing appears to play a role in sarcopenia-related traits but gender differences might be present.
