Abstract
•Shear performance of ten full-scaled UHPC beams exposed to fire was conducted.•Load ratio, shear span-to- depth ratio were key factors affecting fire resistance.•Shear failure modes of UHPC beam may vary under fire exposure compared with that of the ambient temperature beam.•The current codes may overestimate the fire resistance of UHPC beams.•Stirrups can improve the integrity of UHPC beams and can help to reduce the brittleness of shear failure under fire exposure.
