Abstract
Rationale: Evaluating fetal growth during pregnancy is one of the fundamental interventions of antenatal care. Although birth weight is indicative of fetal growth during pregnancy, it does not account for possible growth variation during the fetal period. Although maternal nutrition during pregnancy is recognised to be an important external stimulus to fetal growth, research on the association between maternal dietary patterns during pregnancy and longitudinal fetal growth using ultrasound is limited.
