Hydrolysed- And Lactose-Free Feeds Compared To Standard F-75 And F-100 For The Treatment Of Feeding Intolerance In Hospitalised Children With Wasting And Growth Failure (GF)

Rationale: Children hospitalised with wasting and GF often present with feeding intolerance. Evidence on the effectiveness of hydrolysed and/or lactose-free feeds in the management of these children are lacking. High quality research is imperative. This review evaluates available literature to determine the efficacy of hydrolysed and/or lactose-free feeds compared to F-75 and F-100 for the management of feeding intolerance in children with severe wasting and GF.
