摘要

•A uni-directional power takeoff system is proposed for wave energy converters.•A laboratory dry teste mechanism is designed and fabricated.•The PTO has been fabricated and tested by the dry test mechanism.•The unidirectional PTO enhances wave power absorption.•Up to 65% of efficiency in the dry tests achieved.
