Abstract
•The indirect synthesis of nanosized MOFs was achieved through solvothermal transformation strategy, which converted ZIF-67 to MOF-74T.•The morphology and composition of CdS/MOF-74T were optimized, and the chemical stability and ability of electrochemical sensing were improved.•The introduction of CdS changed nucleation sites of tiny MOF-74T particles and made them gather on the surface of CdS.•CdS/MOF-74T electrochemical sensor is a competitive candidate for ultrasensitive detection of TMZ by SWV method.
