Rationale: Different studies have shown that inflammation is chronically present in colorectal cancer (CRC), so that patients with inflammatory diseases have a higher risk of developing this pathology. The study of new bioactive compounds involve a novel line of research for the development of functional foods which reduce the risk of CRC. The aim of this work was to evaluate antitumor and anti-inflammatory activity of an Allium Microencapsulate (AM) containing the organosulfur compounds propyl propane thiosulfinate (PTS) and propyl propane thiosulfonate (PTSO).
