摘要
Rationale: Dietary intervention studies in subjects with metabolic syndrome traits aiming to normalize lipid profiles are only effective in a limited number of individuals (Responders (‘R’)) whereas in other participants no effects are observed (Non-Responders (‘NR’)). Our hypothesis was that baseline microbiome composition and the initial blood lipid profile might predict response or non-response of study participants to a change in dietary behavior.
