Preparation of alumina/silica/exfoliated graphite nanoplatelets composite aerogels and its application as supporting material for erythritol based form-stable phase change materials

•Al-Si-xGnP composite aerogels were prepared via a novel epoxide method with APD.•Epichlorohydrin acted as both proton scavenger and drying control chemical additives.•Erythritol/Al-Si-xGnP FSPCM with latent heat of 279 J/g was prepared.•The FSPCM possessed stably suppressed supercooling and excellent thermal reliability.•The FSPCM showed good thermal conductivity and light-to-thermal conversion property.
