摘要

•A protective coating based on SiAlOC glasses was applied on 48-2-2 TiAl alloy.•The improvement in the oxidation resistance was obtained in dry and humid air.•Raman Confocal Imaging was applied to determine the structure of oxidized samples.•The SiAlOC coating increased Al activity, hence the formation of Al2O3 interlayer.•The multilayered system significantly suppressed the outward Ti diffusion.
