While research has linked alterations in functional connectivity and structure of subcortical brain regions to internalizing disorders (depression and anxiety), little research has examined whether these alterations may be premorbid vulnerabilities. This study examined resting state functional connectivity and grey matter volume of subcortical structures as markers of first lifetime onsets internalizing disorders in adolescents at high familial risk.
