Endotoxin tolerance is a negative regulatory mechanism against acute inflammation in the body as an innate immune response. Although numerous previous studies have reported that abnormal inflammation in the brain contributes to the development of the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders, there were no reports that endotoxin tolerance was applied to the brain to suppress the development of behavioral abnormalities.
