Post-mortem gene expression studies reveal distinct transcriptomic signatures of major depressive disorder (MDD) in males and females. Leveraging these data, we sought to develop sex-specific transcriptome-based polygenic risk scores (tPRS) and evaluate their impact on brain structure and early depression vulnerability in a population-representative developmental sample.
