Abstract
•Cu9S5@MoS2 microboxes were successfully synthesized by a facile hydrothermal process induced by a template.•The mechanism of 1T-MoS2 induced by the intercalation of NH4+ by an acidic environment is discussed.•Optimized Cu9S5@MoS2 exhibits excellent EMW absorption performance by modulating the loading of MoS2.
