Electric field effect of sliding graphene/hexagonal boron nitride heterobilayer

摘要
•Calculated and simulated the binding energies and electric dipoles of three stacking orders in graphene/h-BN heterobilayer.•Found that the AB stacking structure exhibits the lowest energy.•Discovered that the electric field perpendicular to the 2D plane can control the dipole magnitude of the bilayer system and even change the polarization direction.•Studied the kinetic and thermodynamic stability of the graphene/h-BN heterobilayer under the action of external electric fields using Ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD).•Proposed potential applications of the graphene/h-BN heterobilayer in the field of information electronics due to its interesting physical properties.
