IRRAS evidence of reaction precursor and carboxyl intermediate for CO2 hydrogenation reduction on Ni(1 1 0)

摘要
The experimental evidence of reaction pathways of CO2 with and without hydrogen on Ni(110) catalyst surfaces was achieved by UHV-IRRAS experiments. The HU-CO2 is identified as the direct reaction precursor, and the carboxyl intermediate for the non-formate associate pathway of CO2 hydrogenation is discovered experimentally for the first time. Via this pathway, the dissociation energy for CO2 to CO is effectively reduced.
