Abstract
•Infection with trypanosoma cruzi affected the toxicological susceptibility of the susceptible strain of triatoma infestans.•Infected susceptible insects showed higher mortality than uninfected susceptible insects when exposed to both deltamethrin and acetone.•Infection with T. cruzi did not affect the toxicological susceptibility of the resistant strain of T. infestans.•Infected and uninfected resistant insects showed similar toxic responses and resistance ratio to deltamethrin.
