Trichosporon inkin and Cutibacterium acnes bioprosthetic aortic valve endocarditis and prosthetic aortic root abscess with multi-focal emboli

•Prosthetic valve endocarditis should be considered in all valve-replacement patients presenting with systemic infection, visual disturbance and/or stroke.•Prosthetic valve endocarditis can be mono or polymicrobial, often caused by skin commensals, including bacteria and/or fungi.•Be aware of sub-therapeutic triazole levels in those recently given rifampicin.•Cardiothoracic infection management is challenging and benefits from multi-disciplinary input.
