Full-exposed Cu site of Cu2O-(1 0 0) driven high ethylene selectivity of carbon dioxide reduction

Abstract
The facet-dependent electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to C2H4 on various Cu2O nanostructures was systematically investigated. The (100) facet with full-exposed Cu sites is favorable for *CO–*CO coupling with enhanced adsorption of *CO intermediates, resulting in the conducive conversion of CO2 into C2H4.
