摘要
Evidently, mHealth monitoring services provide new approaches for patients with long-term diseases to monitor and self-manage their health conditions, particularly for managing chronic diseases. In practice, many people abandon such services and not much is known about this situation in extant research. Based on the expectation-confirmation model, this study explores the effects of users' previous affective responses on user satisfaction at the postusage stage, which subsequently influences their decisions for continuous usage which require long-term usage. Based on data collected from a three-wave survey, we found that the affective attitude at the adoption stage and emotional attachment at the usage stage can significantly promote user satisfaction at the postusage stage, and these positive relationships are contingent on user confirmation. Our study advances knowledge on the relationships between affective factors at different stages and the continuance of long-term services usage from an affective perspective.
