Technology and Industry 4.0 in production engineering

The acronym "vuca" has been increasingly incorporated into the business world, as it defines the current behavior of the market: volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. With the increase in competitiveness and the level of consumer demand, it becomes increasingly necessary to optimize resources and constantly improve processes and systems, in order to achieve the necessary competitiveness to stabilize the market. Thus, the implementation of technological and innovation tools, linked to good management practices in production engineering, becomes essential. Therefore, through the research carried out, it was sought to conceptualize industry 4.0 and its respective technologies, aiming to understand their use and practical benefits.
