摘要
Childhood infections are often associated with rash and angioedema. When these symptoms occur while taking antibiotics, they are often misconstrued as allergic. Risk stratification tools designed for adult antibiotic allergy may limit children who could safely challenge and some judge safety of challenge based on time elapsed since index reaction, which is not practical for children. More efficient practices using criteria specific for children to risk stratify can improve delabeling efforts in the pediatric population.
