TRADITIONAL POPULAR MUSIC FROM A SOCIOCULTURAL PERSPECTIVE: STUDY OF THE SON AND RUMBA COMPLEXES

Music has accompanied man throughout almost his entire evolutionary process. As an artistic manifestation it exerts a great influence on people, achieving links between the individual and collective spiritual world and the outside world. For many it is the practical form to express their feelings, hence the present article pursues the analysis from the sociocultural perspective of the Cuban traditional popular music and in particular the complexes of the son and the rumba. It identifies the theoretical and practical particularities of traditional popular music and the complexes of son and rumba from the sociocultural perspective.
