Increase and enrichment of active electrons by carbon dots through multi-mechanism synergy (enhanced optical absorption, increased separation of photogenerated carriers and promotion of transfer and storage of photogenerated electrons) improves photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic hydrogen generation by composite Bio-CDs/TiO2 catalyst.
