Abstract
•Fe3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized and bio-modified through an eco-friendly approach by Daphne mucronata leaf extracts.•Bio-Fe3O4 NPs had no toxic effects on blood cell factors.•Bio-Fe3O4 NPs indicated different cell viabilities on the human breast cancer cell line and mouse embryonic fibroblast.•No abnormality was observed via histological analysis of the liver, spleen, and kidney-treated bio-Fe3O4 NPs.
