摘要
The solubility of cyclohexanone, tert-butanol,and 1,4-dioxane in p-, o-, and m-xylenes and ethylbenzene was measured by a gas chromatographymethod under an atmospheric environment. The measured data indicatedthat the solubility of cyclohexanone, tert-butanol,and 1,4-dioxane in the xylenes and ethylbenzene increases with increasingtemperature. The experimentally determined solubility results werefitted with the modified Apelblat equation, Van't Hoff equation, and Wilson model. Among them, the Wilson model was most consistentwith the measured solubility results. The dissolution-related thermodynamicproperties of cyclohexanone, tert-butanol, and 1,4-dioxanein xylenes and ethylbenzene, including the changes of molar Gibbsfree energy, molar enthalpy, and molar entropy, were predicted andanalyzed via the correlated Wilson model, which indicates that thedissolution behaviors are spontaneous and endothermic process. Theobtained solubility results provide the thermodynamic foundation forthe development and upgrading of industrial separation processes relatedto xylene, ethylbenzene, cyclohexanone, tert-butanol,and 1,4-dioxane.
