Ultrasensitive electrochemical detection of phospholipase C via dual signal amplification based on MVL ATRP and silver nanoparticles

•Dual signal amplification PLC sensor was fabricated based on MVL ATRP and AgNPs.•The sensor was successfully applied to detect PLC in non-tumor cells and tumor cells.•There was no significant difference between the detected value and that of ELISA kit.•The proposed sensor has a wide linear response range and a low detection limit.
