Abstract
Ethical dilemmas can cover a wide range of issues, from patient advocacy to whether the inappropriate actions of colleagues need to be reported. Nurses must find ways to understand and balance these issues and potential conflicts and to recognize legal responsibilities. The ethical principles that are taken into consideration in every ethical decision include autonomy, nonmaleficienci, beneficence, justice, fidelity, and veracity. Ethical decisions will be difficult to make when there are conflicts between these ethical principles. Ethics always refers to moral standards, especially those related to professional groups, such as nurses. As a profession engaged in health services, nurses are often faced with various ethical decision-making. Therefore, nurses must be able to understand how to make good decisions. Nurses must develop skills to carry out their roles and functions as moral intermediaries and participants in ethical decision-making.
