Among the state-of-the-art advanced materials, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have gained noticeable attention because of their changeable properties, ultrahigh porosity, structural tailorability, large surface area, functional diversity, crystallinity, and adaptability. For the construction of MOF nanoparticles, synthesis parameters and synthesis methods can be modified and the specific properties of MOFs like size, shape, porosity, stability, and activity can progress. For the design of MOF nanocomposites, functional nanoparticles, conductive graphene, biomolecules, MOFs, and covalent organic frameworks can be used to enlarge efficiencies in advanced applications. This chapter briefly summarizes the MOF nanoparticles and nanocomposites architecture through structural and surface modifications for electrochemical conversion and storage.
