摘要
3D printing provides numerous advantages over conventional manufacturing techniques and recent advancements in nanocomposites have opened the door to new opportunities to print functional components with desired properties. The hybrid nanocomposite is a class of nanocomposites, where inorganic-organic components of the material are indiscriminately interconnected, offering advanced materials with customised properties. For better control over the properties of printed structures, understanding the relation between the printing process and the property of the printed material is a prerequisite. This chapter presents an overview of hybrid nanocomposites, their selection based on their flowability and 3D printing techniques. Since it is ubiquitous to find irregularities/defects in 3D printed components, common defects found in 3D structures and their detection methods are briefly discussed.
