Application of DBOA in Structural Engineering Design Problems

Abstract
In order to validate any algorithm, its efficiency is required to be verified. Therefore, in this present chapter the performance of the DBOA is tested and verified on 13 unconstrained benchmark problems and 8 structural engineering design optimization problems (SEDOP). The proposal is further validated on five Himmelblau’s nonlinear constrained optimization problems (HNCOP). Comparative experimental and non-parametric statistical result analysis with DE variants, BOA and some other state-of-art algorithms stated in the literature confirms the improved or at-par presentation of DBOA.
