Abstract
Reduction techniques have been used to create nickel nanoparticles. For the creation of nickel nanoparticles, nickel acetate has been used as a precursor and hydrazine hydrate as a reducing agent. Researchers examined about how calcination affected the size of nanoparticles. The nickel nanoparticles were characterized by SEM, EDX, FTIR, UV.Vis. DLS and XRD. The results conclude that the size of particles is highly affected by calcination. The sizes of particles were determined by XRD Scherrer equation and confirmed by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). It was found that the structure of the nanoparticles was also changed from nanorods to nanosphere particle. Particle size decreases/decomposes before the melting point of the metals. But particles combine after cooling from the decomposing temperature, so we get a heterogeneous mixture of spherical nanoparticles. Thus we need such a procedure so that we could stabilise the nanoparticles at high temperature to low temperature.
