An Answer to Globalization: Enhancing Cultural Awareness

Globalization is a social and historical process oriented towards certain values. Confronting globalization, an important task of education is to enhance cultural awareness, including understanding the essence of tendencies towards homogenization and integration in contemporary discourses of power, strengthening the awareness of national culture and improving the ability to rethink the consumerist culture which is exerting a wide influence.
