Infection of HPV and MMTV oncovirus in breast cancer tissues in women

Many researchers have focused on the association between human papillomavirus (HPV) and mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV)-like viruses in breast cancer. Therefore the present study was planned to assess the prevalence of HPV and MMTV-like DNAs in breast cancer cases from Morocco to consolidate epidemiological data on the association between these two viruses and breast cancer. Several factors are involved in the induction of breast cancer. Studies intertwine with the search for oncoviruses in breast tissues such as MMTV and HPV. The detection of coinfection by MMTV and HPV is a concern. However, coinfection with both viruses is never a direct cause of cancer.
