摘要
The success of Indigenous movements in Ecuador was predicated on their ability to build alliances with other movements, navigate the intersection of class demands with ethnic identities, and employ a variety of strategies to mobilize support for their concerns. We learn from their experiences and struggles that there are no such things as magical solutions or simple answers, but rather that advancing a political agenda is a matter of experimentation that can result in reversals and losses as well as occasional victories. In this way, Indigenous movements in Ecuador provide a fascinating case study of how to navigate multiple issues and factors on the road to success.
