摘要
We describe the case of a 69-year-old female referred for Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) consideration, with a ten year history of severe bilateral lower limb neuropathic pain secondary to transverse myelitis diagnosed by neurologists at the time. Confirmatory MRI showed high signal from T2 to T7 and thinning of the spinal cord. The patient had some relief with gabapentin and TENS but otherwise anti-neuropathic agents had no clinically meaningful effect. Physiotherapy, acupuncture and T10 nerve root injections were also not beneficial.
