摘要
Catalysts are used to enhance the speed of chemical reactions. Naturally occurring enzymes are shown to possess excellent catalytic activities based on their selectivity and specificity. The emergence of nanomaterials leads to the development of nano-sized artificial enzyme mimics, known as nanozymes. Meanwhile, supramolecular chemistry deals with non-covalent interactions between molecules to build more complex systems. Molecular recognition, self-assembly and host-guest chemistry are three important aspects of supramolecular chemistry which are also visible in framework materials such as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). Covalent-Organic Frameworks (COFs) and Nanocages (NCs). Herein, MOFs, COFs and NCs possessing peroxidase properties are discussed as supramolecular nanozymes.
