摘要
Abstract A pixel is the smallest numerical component representing an image's composition. Image encryption involves changing the position and size of pixels, known as confusion and diffusion. The paper proposes a novel two-dimensional chaotic map (2D-SICM) which is coupled with the sine map and infinite collapse map. An encryption algorithm based on the new 2D-SICM is proposed. The proposed encryption system decomposes the plaintext image into eight binary bit-planes. The random matrix generated by the 2D-SICM chaotic map is used to perform the bitwise computation of the pixel values of the plaintext image while executing both confusion and diffusion. Finally, the feature information of the ciphertext image is analyzed for correlation, entropy, contrast, and energy. The results show that the image encryption system passes performance tests and noise attacks, demonstrating its effectiveness.
