Dear Editor, Two distinct pathways,non-homologous end joining(NHEJ)and homologous recombination(HR)repair,have evolved to repair DNA double-strand breaks(DSBs),the most deleterious type of DNA damage.Impaired NHEJ and HR are often associated with a high incidence of tumorigenesis and the early onset of aging.
