Abstract
Viscoelastic deformation cycles of human blood vessels under normal functioning conditions were studied. Atherosclerotic plaque with stochastic development was also taken into account in the modeling. A computer simulation algorithm has been developed to perform parametric analysis for models with different geometrical dimensions. The study was carried out in a two-dimensional formulation based on the finite element method.
