Research on Integrated Sensing and Communication Based on Linear Frequency Modulation

In this paper, a frequency-shift chirp modulation-based waveform for sensing-communication integration is proposed, which is essentially linear frequency modulation. For communication, the information is modulated to the starting frequency of the signal. The preamble symbols of the waveform are used as radar signal at the same time, and also provide timing synchronization information for the communication system. The demodulation algorithm of the waveform is also proposed in this paper.
